Application of peristaltic pump in distillation equipment

The principle of distillation equipment is a unit operation that utilizes the difference in the volatility of the components in the liquid mixture for separation. The material liquid is heated to partially vaporize, the volatile components are concentrated in the steam, and the volatile components are concentrated in the liquid.

Rectification is a multi-stage operation of distillation. Through multiple partial gasification and partial condensation, the concentration of the hardly volatile components in the liquid phase is almost pure, and the volatile components in the gas phase are almost pure.

The application of peristaltic pumps in distillation equipment and rectification equipment is liquid feed. The advantages of peristaltic pump feeding as below:

Advantages:

Ø Convenient maintenance: the tube can be replaced, and it can be switched from one liquid to another in the shortest time, there is no need to disassemble and flush, just replace the peristaltic pump tube.

Ø No pollution: the fluid only contacts the pump tube.

Ø Good sealing: It has good self-priming ability, and can be idling to prevent backflow.

Ø Low shear force: suitable for conveying shear-sensitive and corrosive fluids.
