The explosion-proof peristaltic pump is like squeezing a hose full of fluid with your fingers. As your fingers slide forward, the fluid in the pipe moves forward. The principle of the peristaltic pump is the same, but the finger is replaced by the roller. Now we will explain in detail how to reduce the pulsation amplitude in the process of peristaltic pump pumping.
(1) The pump head with an adjustable locking degree of pump pipe can slow down the flow interruption between fluid pillows and reduce the pulsation by 25%.
(2) But in some applications, the pulsation produced by the peristaltic pump is more strictly limited, and the reduction of 25% pulsation is not enough. In this case, the other four measures can be considered to further reduce the pulsation
The pump head with staggered locking and more rollers is adopted;
Multi pump head with staggered pulsation is adopted;
Using pulsating buffer; and changing the discharge pipe configuration.
Timing requirements: when the roller is located at the top dead center (TDC) of the pump head, the locking degree is just the maximum.
However, some pump heads are equipped with six to eight rollers, and interleaving locking is added in the design, that is, when the locking degree is maximum, the roller has turned away from the top dead center of the pump head. A combination of these two designs can be used to eliminate pulsation.
